Cooper Union’s Foundation Building.
Parallel with 41 Cooper Square project, I managed a separate team of architects and builders to upgrade the historic building’s central plant, including all major HVAC equipment, portions of distribution system, and digital controls. I also oversaw an upgrade of the historic Great Hall, as well as other strategic interior remodeling to accommodate space reprogramming, with utmost sensitivity to the building’s unique mix of a landmarked historic exterior, and modernist interior. We successfully completed the work while the building was occupied.

CLARK On Cooper Union’s Foundation Building:
“While building 41 Cooper Square, we upgraded most major central plant systems of this beloved national landmark—while it was occupied—working intensely during summer and winter breaks. The work included major interior space upgrades, including upgrade to the historic Great Hall.”
